  • Face Mask/Covering on School Premises

    Please ensure that (unless you are exempt) all parents, carers, grandparents, childminders and siblings of secondary age or older are wearing face masks during drop-off and collection on both our school sites. This includes collection from After School Club and any other after school activity.

    I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that at a recent governing body meeting it has been decided that the start of the academic year for current Year 2 – Year 5 will now be Monday 7th September 2020.

     

    I am currently absorbing the government guidance that was issued on 2nd July to determine the exact timings for the beginning and the end of the school day.

     

    Once this has been agreed, you will of course be informed but undoubtedly, there will be a variety of different start and end times for each year group.

  • Website and Purple Mash Updates

    Dear Parents and Carers,

     

    We have updated the layout of the Learning from Home page to make resources easier to find. Teachers will also be producing weekly videos to support learning from home.

     

    If you login to Purple Mash and click on the Sharing icon (globe) and visit Shared Blogs, your child will now be able to communicate with friends and their class teacher via their class blog.

     

    There will be some video guides later this week to support you using Purple Mash and other programs.

    The government will also be supporting parents and carers by delivering remote lessons via The Oak National Academy. This launches today and includes all ages from reception to year 10.

     

    BBC Bitesize daily lessons are now live.

    Geography: Steve Backshall at 9:30am

    Science: Brian Cox - Science with Professor Brian Cox, Robin Ince & Guests

    Literacy: David Walliams at 11:00am

    Gardening and Nature: Maddie - CBeebies and Greg - BBC at 11:00am

     

    Dance: Oti Mabuse - Strictly Come Dancing

    Find her on Facebook every day for a dance class at 11:30am.

    Music: Myleene Klass - Monday and Fridays at 10am.

    ​             Nick Cope - Online concerts for families. 

    Art: Rob Biddulph -  Draw with Rob every Tuesday and Thursday at 10am.

    Cooking: Jamie Oliver - Cooking with Kids, recipe ideas and cooking tutorials with Buddy Oliver.

    PE: Joe Wicks - PE with Body Coach Joe Wicks every morning 9am​.

    Yoga: Cosmic Kids Yoga - Yoga, Mindfulness and relaxation for children.
