Parent/Carer Update (19/03/2020 - 8pm)
Thu 19 Mar 2020*This post was delayed on the school website and ParentMail due to technical difficulties*
Dear Parents/Carers,
I am sure many of you are aware of the announcement made by the Prime Minister that schools across the nation will be closing on Monday in order to tackle the spread of the coronavirus. I am currently working with other staff to determine our approach and strategy to supporting the children of key and essential workers, those children with EHCPs as well as those families who are currently receiving support from social workers. I meet with my team again tomorrow to review what I hope will be clarity from the government about what classifies as a key or essential worker.
To help in the preparations I will be most grateful if you could complete the survey (link below) that will inform the decisions made for the next foreseeable future.

Please complete the survey by midday tomorrow
Thank you for your support during this increasingly difficult time for our community and the nation.
Kind Regards,
Mr Booth

Parent/Carer Update (19/03/2020 - 9am)
Thu 19 Mar 2020Dear Parents/Carers,
Please be assured that we are planning our response to the Government announcements. As soon as we have information available to parents, we will be communicating it through the normal channels including Facebook, ParentMail and on our school website.
In the meantime, please do not contact the school with general queries. All our staff will be tied up in planning our response and in making sure that the children are happy, safe and calm during their remaining time in school.
We will therefore only have the capacity to respond to emergencies at the present time. Resources to support learning from home will be updated shortly.
Thanks again for your support.
Mr. Booth

Coronavirus: PUBLIC INFORMATION
Wed 05 Feb 2020The Government and NHS are well prepared to deal with this virus. You can help too.
Germs can live on some surfaces for hours. To protect yourself and others:
• Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze.
• Bin the tissue, and to kill the germs, wash your hands with soap and water, or use a sanitiser gel.
• If you have arrived back from China within 14 days follow the specific advice for returning travellers.
This is the best way to slow the spread of almost any germs, including Coronavirus.
